Early Morn - Quiet morning, water fairly rough. Caught 3 tailor. No other fishers until I was leaving.
Evening - Calm water, practically no wind. Very quickly caught a small hammerhead, then before it could be taken off the hook the other rod went. Landed an 18kg bronze whaler. Then within half an hour the Southerly wind picked up whipping up waves and bringing in weed, quickly left the beach.

There has been a sudden change to gales after a week of good weather conditions. Shallow water and very little channel has been the biggest challenge for fishers in trying to cast into deeper water.
Plenty of mullet have been caught, but very few of anything else except several catches of gummies about 90cm in length.

Very changeable weather conditions continuing and bringing in some weed, but the surf has produced more catches this week. Mullet still plentiful. Big salmon are moving in with catches improving. Several gummies have also been caught, including one at 9kg. That particular party of fishers, over a week, reported a few salmon and six gummies with the one at 9kg and another at 12kg. Surprisingly these were caught when the channel became quite shallow. The channel has since deepened again. Lately the birds have been noticed, working, also a seal.

A disappointing week overall with very changeable weather. The surf conditions have otherwise improved with clear water and a deep channel. Mullet are plentiful using pippies, but few reports of salmon, flathead or gummies, considering the number of fishers there have been lately.
